AYES*, NATEF*, and SkillsUSA* have joined together to offer a single National Automotive Student Skills Standards Assessment (NA3SA) program. These tests, developed by ASE*, are designed to evaluate students who are near the end of their studies in the areas of Automobile Service and Collision Repair & Refinishing.

  • Brakes
  • Electrical/Electronic Systems
  • Engine Performance
  • Engine Repair
  • Automatic Transmission/Transaxle
  • Manual Drive Train and Axles
  • Heating and Air Conditioning
COLLISION REPAIR AND REFINISH
  • Painting and Refinishing
  • Structural Analysis and Damage Repair**
  • Non-structural Analysis and Damage Repair**
  • Mechanical and Electrical**

** These tests are being offered for the first time during the spring 2009. Therefore, each test will be double the normal length (80 questions total) and will not provide instant scoring.

Costs
One simple price of $15 per student allows the instructor to schedule, within a single testing window, as many of the assessments within a test series as needed. Students may not attempt the same test twice during the same testing window.
